Origami Waterbomb Base

The origami square base is also known as the origami preliminary fold.

The square base consists of
» Two diagonal mountain-fold and
» Two perpendicular valley-fold that intersect at the center.
The paper is then collapsed along the creases to form a square shape with 4 flaps.

The origami square base is the foundation for two other bases namely the origami bird base and origami frog base. Hence, called the preliminary fold.

If the folds in the origami square or preliminary fold are reversed then, an origami waterbomb base is formed.
